About Porchlight Tech

Technology help that treats people like people.

Porchlight Tech started with a simple frustration: getting help with everyday technology usually meant long hold times, confusing jargon, or a trip to a crowded store. I thought it should be calmer than that, and that the help should come to you.

I bring real tech experience into homes across Dade City, Zephyrhills, surrounding Pasco County. Whether it's Wi-Fi that won't reach the back bedroom, a smart home that never quite worked together, or the problem three other people gave up on, I take the time to do it right and make sure you understand what changed.

I'm not a call center and I'm not a big-box counter. I'm local, and I believe dependable, in-person help still matters.

Jacob Diaz-Iglesias · Founder & lead technician

Hi, I'm Jacob. I started Porchlight Tech because getting real help with technology shouldn't mean a call center, a long hold, or a stranger who won't explain what they did. I show up on time, quote the price before I start, and I don't leave until it's solved and it makes sense to you.

Real experience, and a neighbor you can count on.

Here's the short version of how I got here. I studied right here in Dade City, earned a Computer Science degree, and spent three summers as a software engineering intern at Amazon. But the work I love most is the hands-on kind: untangling a network, making a smart home finally behave, and explaining it so it makes sense. I even completed a Dale Carnegie course in clear communication, because being easy to understand matters as much as being right. When your setup gets past do-it-yourself, I can actually solve it, and I'll show you what changed so you stay in control.
